BusinessGPSOwn the capacity to change.

How the Baseline runs, and where your documents go

The Baseline is our assessment of one change, made from the documents the change already has. You install the Baseline tool in your own environment and run it yourself. Your documents do not come to us, and we keep nothing.

The map of the Baseline tool, headed 9 of 27 selected, with Assessment map chosen. One row, Strategy, holds steps 1 to 9, all selected, from Business Context to Initiative Planning.
This is a real screen of the tool you install, before a run. The 9 boxes are the steps of a change that a Baseline grades, the first 9 of 27.

Where does the tool run? On a machine or a server of yours.

The tool is a download and a local install: a zip file, with its instructions. Installing the tool asks nothing of your IT team, unless your own policies say otherwise.

Before anyone pays, the conversation checks that your IT policy allows the install. It also checks that your AI policy lets you use your own AI model service. If they do not allow it, we can make another arrangement.

What does the tool read? The documents your change already has.

The tool reads ordinary programme documents: the programme plan, the business case, decision records, risk registers and status reports. The tool needs no login to your live systems.

What does the reading? AI agents, on a model service you connect.

An agent is software that does a named task, such as reading a document or cross-checking a plan. The agents run on an AI model service. You connect your own service, on your own account, and you pay for it.

So what the agents read goes to the service you connect, under your own agreement with its provider. Nothing the agents read comes to us.

Your own people check what the agents produce, and decide what is accepted.

The scorecard of the Baseline tool after a run, in three rows of 9 steps: Strategy, Execution of change and Operations. Each row is marked 3 of 9 assessed. Steps 1, 9, 11, 15, 18, 20, 24 and 27 are red, step 6 is amber, and the other 18 are pale.
The tool again: its scorecard after a test run on three steps from each row. A filled box is a step the run graded, red or amber, and a pale box is one it left out.

What comes to BusinessGPS? Nothing, unless you choose to send it.

You need share nothing with us, ever. The tool runs without us, and we do not need to see what you have.

Two things can pass between us:

  • From you to us: anonymised signals that help us improve the method. This feed is off unless you switch it on, and switching it off never affects maintenance.
  • From us to you: upgrades and fixes, while you have maintenance. We never send you another customer’s material.

What do you keep? The report, and the tool you installed.

This one is ours, graded by the engine in the tool you install: press the picture to read our own Baseline report.

You keep the Baseline report. You keep the tool installed, too. Without maintenance, the tool stays as it is and stops updating.

Does BusinessGPS hold a security certification? No.

We hold no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification. You install the tool in your own environment and run it yourself.

How can you check this yourself? On your own network, after you install.

Take our word for none of it. Once the tool is installed, your own people can watch what it does on your network. If what they see does not satisfy you, your organisation can cancel within 30 days of payment. The Baseline’s fee then comes back in full.

What if your question is not answered here? Ask before anyone pays.

Your organisation has one conversation with us before any payment, and it costs nothing. Your question can go to that conversation, or by email to help@techshifts.io. Either way, we answer in writing.
